The PACIFEX25 scenario involves a major earthquake occurring in the Bonin Islands, generating a distant tsunami threat. The exercise begins at 19:00 UTC / 11:00 am AKDT / 12pm PDT on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025, with a hypothetical M8.8 earthquake.
